Improving Educational Quality After 10 years, the Improving Education Quality Project (IEQ) is now complete. Many of the lessons learned and best practices are being incorporated into the Education Quality Improvement Program (EQUIP) sponsored by USAID Bureau for Economic Growth, Agriculture and Trade/Office of Education (EGAT/ED). The IEQ website will remain available, but inactive. See the EQUIP website to learn more about its exciting work. The Improving Education Quality Project was a long-term initiative of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Global Bureau to assist USAID Missions and host countries implement their educational reform efforts in primary and early childhood education, as well as community development. IEQ sought to: generate knowledge about the school and classroom reality of educators and students; use knowledge to develop a national consensus on reform priorities; develop an in-country capacity for monitoring and evaluating educational results. We invite you to learn more about the project, our partners and the host countries where we worked. Many publications and other documents representing IEQ's work can be downloaded from this site. IEQ has created a "Research Instruments to Measure Teaching and Learning" portion of this website, which was designed to share tested research instruments and experience of IEQ researchers using these tools. Also, we have included links to provide helpful resources related this important work.
