Oakland University Fund An Endowed Fund of The Community Foundation of Greater Rochester What is the Oakland University Fund? The OU Fund is an endowed fund owned and administered by the Community Foundation of Greater Rochester. The Fund provides donors who care and love the university with a special way to benefit OU. Created in 2006, the OU Fund provides a charitable vehicle for individuals interested in providing support to OU students and programs beyond traditional modes of giving. With the OU Fund, you decide when and how you want to benefit the University. Donations can be made to the "undesignated" fund if you just wish to provide general support. You may also support one of the existing "subfunds" listed below. Finally, you may create a donor advised fund that truly expresses your charitable interests. Many universities require gifts exceeding $20,000 to qualify for a donor advised fund. Not so with the OU Fund! You may establish a donor advised fund with a gift of $10,000 or gifts at that level accumulated over time. Three subfunds have already been established to benefit Oakland University: Department of Economics Fund Honors College Fund Undesignated Fund (may be used to benefit all areas of the University) Do you have a passion for Oakland University? Do you want to support a specific department or program? Would you like to honor a loved one with a named subfund in support of the University? Let us help you turn your idea into reality. Any proposed subfund must meet the $10,000 level within a short time. OU Fund Stories As you consider a donation, we'd like to share some early stories of our success.
