Another factor which has contributed to the obscurity of this problem is that some of the cases involved only one or a few episodes. Most of the affected dogs become asymptomatic (without symptoms)  through dietary changes. Though there is no certain 
way to diagnose 
your dog as having CECS, studies are being done and blood samples are 
being gathered and sent to the University of Missouri to aid in finding a 
DNA marker for this disorder. 
There is no 100% method of
treating and/or controlling 
CECS, much information is being gathered to help find answers. If you
