Today,@kn007 asked me to install Memcached for his VPS,to enhance the performance with reduce loding time.So i would like to share you the steps.
Firstly,install libevent.libevent is used for handling Socket.
wget https://github.com/downloads/libevent/libevent/libevent-2.0.19-stable.tar.gz
tar xzvf libevent-2.0.19-stable.tar.gz
cd libevent-2.0.19-stable
./configure --prefix=/usr
make & make install

Use Memcached for Discuz! X2.5

Today I realized that there is need to set up a forum for ImgTimes,as it grows fast and need to be interactive.
Then i choose,the most popular forum program in Chinese website.
Taking the traffic and readers into consideration,i want to add Memcached support.here is the method.
Go config_global.php and find $_config['memory']['memcache']['server'] = ”;
change it to $_config['memory']['memcache']['server'] = ’127.0.0.1′;
then Memcached will work.

Set MySQL root password at first time

Sometimes,we dont really need PhpMyAdmin to do MySQL work.actually we can directly update password using the following method to update or change password for user root.
1) Login to the server, type the following command at shell prompt:
$ mysql -u root -p
2) Use mysql database (type command at mysql> prompt):
mysql> use mysql;
3) Change password for user vivek, enter
mysql> update user set password=PASSWORD("NEWPASSWORD") where User='root';
4) Finally, reload the privileges:
mysql> flush privileges;
mysql> quit

How to Free up RAM Memory in Centos 5

Today i did data miragation from 2 Keroan servers.but after that i niticed the new one’s memory piled up and never come down.
This is due to the cache memory,so we can do comands below to make it normal:
echo 3 > /proc/sys/vm/drop_caches

DirectAdmin quota errors:much higher than it should be

Recently some of my clients complaining that their disk usage shown in DirectAdmin was much higher than it should be.
I carefully checked it and notice quota indeedly went wrong.Googled many times but no key to get it resolved.
Then I sent DirectAdmin Support Department a Email about this,they told me to follow the steps in http://help.directadmin.com/item.php?id=39
I did as it says and only to find that eAccelerator that makes disk usage error,as DirectAdmin running with SuPHP,some cache files belongs the user and they pile up,thus making disk usage
