The tournament begins at 8:30 a.m. at the Lake Shawnee Golf Course, 4141 SE East Edge Rd, Topeka, KS 66609. This year, the tournament is In memory of all 251 Kansas officers killed in the line of duty since 1866. Last year, 35 teams braved the weather for a enjoyable game of golf, food and fun. Let's raise that number this year! Registration begins at 7:00 a.m. with a Shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. This is a 4-person scramble. Cost is $80.00 per person/$320 per team. Proceeds will benefit KS C.O.P.S. in assisting survivors with Hands-On Programs, National Police Week in Washington, D.C., scholarships and other survivor activities. Kenneth F. "Kenny," 59, husband, father, friend to many and retired Lieutenant of the Wichita Police Department Homicide Section, passed away from kidney cancer. According to his obituary, Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Irene Landwehr of Wichita. He is survived by his wife, Cindy (Gibson) Landwehr, and son, James Landwehr, of the home; daughter, Holly Vanatta (Joel); brother, David Landwehr (Brenda); nephews, David Lee and Mark Landwehr; grandchildren, Miles and Megan Vanatta, all of Wichita, along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Kenny was heavily involved in volunteering for Special Olympics, was a criminal justice instructor at Wichita State University and a trainer for the Wichita/Sedgwick County Law Enforcement Training Center. He also served on the board of S.I.D.S. of Kansas. Kenny's favorite hobbies included spending time with his family, working with his son on homework and playing golf. He was an avid golfer.
