New Movies on DVD for May 15th, 2012
The Grey
At first glance, Joe Carnahan’s new project “The Grey” seems no different from other hackneyed films in the survival-action genre. The whole thing almost seems too formulaic: a plane crash, a group of men stranded in a strange, cruel place with only their wits to defend themselves with. But a deeper inspection reveals that The Grey is on a whole level higher than most wild-action, survival films. Liam Neeson is superb in his portrayal as the survivors’ leader. He is believable as John Ottway, an emotionally tortured man who kills wolves for a living. The Grey is a new movie on DVD. The release date is on Tuesday, May 15, 2012
Rampart
Users should get themselves ready for the Rampart DVD release date on May 15, 2012. Rampart is a film set in Los Angeles, 1999 featuring the atypical “dirty cop” Dave Brown (acted by Harrelson). Dave Brown is a bitter Vietnam veteran working out of the Rampart police department. In spite of being a police officer, Brown seems to be obsessed with enforcing his own code of conduct and having his way in both his personal and professional life. He also seems to have a litany of justifications for why he cannot distinguish between what is wrong and right, until his moment of reckoning.  Rampart is listed under New DVD Releases This Week.
One for the Money
The movie One for the Money was one of the highly anticipated movies today. It is lead by a very popular actress and that is Katherine Heigl. This movie is a great comedy film because it is also led by a great comedy actress. Heigl does a great job portraying her character, Stephanie Plum. And the adaption of the book by Janet Evanivich is quite well done and fun. One for the Money is only 91 minutes long, so most fans of comedy movies should not find it overtly long. The movie was initially released in theaters in early 2012. If you didn’t catch it there then you will have to see it when it is released on DVD or Blu-ray disc.
