The mission of United Nations  Resolution 48/96 is to stimulate the quality of life by supporting the  implementation of the Standard Rules on the Equalization of Opportunities for  Persons with Disabilities.
The mission of the World Association for  Supported Employment. (WASE) within the scope of the UN’s Resolution, is the  vocational integration of people (using the principle and technology of  Supported Employment) throughout the world. 
UN  Convention on the Rights of Persons with a disability
Rehabilitation  International (RI) is working with the Global Applied Disabilty Research and  Information Network on Employment and Training (GLADNET), the Employment  Affinity Group of the International Association for the Scientific Studies on  Intellectual Disabilities (IASSID), WASE and other affiliates in a project  Combating Unemployment. The project refers to Article 27 of the New UN  Convention.

Examples of  good practise
Many employers around the world have proven records of persons with  disabilities who are working in supported employment. Supported employment made  contributions to the employer and the person with a disability. Good examples  lead to good followers. Employers with proven records can apply for a quality  mark from WASE and can show their good performance in helping people with  disabilities in gaining and maintaining jobs.
