Our Dreamer Late Prof. M.A. Matin - Our beloved teacher History of Bangladesh Uvea Society It was in the midst of the conference of the Bangladesh Academy of Ophthalmology at Hotel Sheraton, Dhaka, on 17th November, 2007, Late Professor M. A. Matin who was a visionary himself felt the need of a society which will promote the cause of Uveal diseases. He spoke at length on its need and entrusted the task of organizing the society to one of his beloved student, Professor Md. Saleh Uddin. Prof. Md. Saleh Uddin took the responsibility and religiously followed all the steps of formation of such a society. On 4th November, 2008 Bangladesh Uvea Society (BUS) came into being with an executive committee of 24 members with Professor Md. Arif Mian as a Secretary General, Professor Md. SalehUddin as President, & Dr. Nazneen Khan as the Treasurer. This committee continued for two terms, 2008-2012 fulfilling all obligations of the constitution. New Executive committee was formed on November, 2012-2014 with Secretary General, Prof. Jalal Ahmed, President, Prof. M. A. Halim Khan & Treasurer, Dr. Salma Parvin.
