Thursday, May 10 2007 After months of research (and following TripAdvisor.com reviews obsessively!), we decided to book our honeymoon to Excellence Rivera Cancun. It's a beautiful all-inclusive resort about 30 minutes outside the hustle and bustle of Cancun. We're staying 10 days as part of the "Excellence Club" -- getting us perks like an oceanfront room, a private dinner on the beach, and a spa package. It should be awesome! -- Posted by Ann -- DJ Friday, March 9 2007 We decided this week to go with TEAM DJ for our wedding. Our venue recommended the company and I met some of their DJs at a bridal show earlier this year. I finally got around to giving the company a call a few weeks ago and was impressed with the salesman's willingness to do whatever we wanted. His name is Rob, by the way. TEAM DJ lets us pick the type of personality we'd like in a DJ, plus they wear tuxedos or suits and don't drink or take breaks. They're also pretty reasonable in price. I was sold!Now we're busily going through the song lists to figure out what we want to play for our first dance, cake cutting, father-daughter dance, etc. More updates to come. -- Posted by Ann -- Bridesmaids Dresses and Flowers! Sunday, February 25 2007 I took my bridesmaids to Wendy's Bridal to look for their dresses. After trying on lots of styles we decided on a black satin, floor-length dress with a pickup skirt. My florist, Will Eylar from Upper Crust Floral Designs, created a beautiful sample bouquet for me. I told him I wanted vibrant pink and orange flowers and that I liked roses and calla lillies. I thought he did an excellent job, and the bright colors will look great with the black dresses! -- Posted by Ann -- Wedding Photographer Friday, December 1 2006 Finally! We chose our wedding photographer, Eric of GideonStudios.com. Eric's work is phenomenal!Among the few photographers we met with, Gideon Studios and Terry Jordan Photography were our final two. Terry Jordan Photography is the "preferred" photographer for Taylor Mansion. Even though we have to pay a service charge to use Eric we just couldn't help ourselves.
