Home 2020 Show Info 2019 Show Vendors 2020 Featured Artist 2019 Winners Entry Rules & FormsContact Us Welcome to Best of the Valley Quilt Show! 2020 will be our 25th edition, and are we getting excited!! The show dates will be April 17-19, 2020, with hours 10-4 on Fri/Sat and 10-3 on Sunday. We are planning a big celebration, and are hopeful that you, too, will be a part of it. The first and foremost thing you can do is to enter you quilt(s). Without quilts, there would be no show. Don’t be shy! If you’ve never entered a judged show before, ours is a good one to choose. Our judges are certified, and your quilt will be given every consideration. Written judging sheets will tell you what caught the judge’s eye. It’s like peeking over their shoulder, to see what it is that they notice. We encourage you to enter online, where entries open in January 2020. Entry forms are also available for download. Be sure to read all of the guidelines before entering your quilt(s). Go to the Entry Rules & Forms tab for more information. The entry deadline is February 14, 2020. Our “Featured Artist” will actually be a 25 year Artist Retrospective. We are planning to have work from each of our past Featured Artists on display. This is quite the undertaking to coordinate, but we know it’s going to be worth it! We are definitely excited about this! The 2020 BOTV challenge is “Seasons.” This is not limited to Winter, Spring, Summer, or Fall, though quilts depicting them are most welcome. The theme can be interpreted however you wish. I think my personal favorite is Quilt Show Season. Challenge quilts should measure 18x24”, landscape or portrait, and be submitted by March 15. See the entries page to download the rules and entry form. We welcome The Quarry Garden Challenge, from New Zealand, as our primary special exhibit this year. Details are still pending, but we’re excited by this opportunity to celebrate quilting from the other side of the world. As usual, we will have a large vendor mall, which fills rapidly. Be sure to check in with us early, to reserve your booth space. All in all, 2020 promises to be a big celebration. Twenty-five years of Best of the Valley!! That’s definitely a reason to celebrate.
