Our modern society heavily depends on technology and software to function properly. They are part of our everyday lives. My goal is to use my abilities and knowledge to design and develop software that enhances our modern society.

Smart Meter Privacy
Preserving consumers' privacy by using a smart communication infrastructure, cryptographic methods and secure signal processing.
Smart Heating System
Control central heating system based on the availability of electricity from a solar panel.
The Greenhouse Project
Supervising humidity and temperature in a greenhouse via web interface. Irrigation, ventilation and heating are controlled on an automatic basis.
Satyros II
An autonomous vehicle exploring its environment using multiple sensors. Based on the collected data, the robot is capable to draw a map and avoid a collision with obstacles.
A graduate school project.
Mensch Aergere Dich Nicht
A multi-agent implementation of the famous German board game. Each agent has its own game strategy. Agents are written in Java and C#, communicating via the Simple Object Access protocol (SOAP).
Beside the business
I have always been fascinated by technology. I'm curious to understand how things work and why this things work in exactly this particular manner. It started as a child where I took apart most of my toys to explore the insight. Well, most of them worked again after reassembling, of course, some of them did not. But there is more of me than just this geek.
Photography
Strolling through nature or hanging out with friends, my camera is always with me. Taking pictures and thereby catching the right moment - photography is science, and I love it.
Mountaineering
Mountaineering is exhausting, painful and depressing - but there is no better way to spend your time. It helps me to recharge my life energy and to get my head clear again. Climbing, hiking, backcountry skying and canyoning - I love it.
