The Politically Incorrect LGBT Community Home The IRC network is ONLINE. Print Email Details Written by Support Staff Category: Uncategorised Published: 23 July 2015 Hits: 59 Hello everyone! We're proud to announce that the IRC network is online and operating currently. We have a number of features that we're working on with services on the network but for now the server is up and running and will continue to be improved as time goes on. Currently you will need to download your own IRC client and install it. mIRC is a popular Windows IRC client and xchat for Linux users is out there as well. MacOS users have a wide number of IRC clients to choose from as well so pick your favorite and then point it at irc.fag.org. Here's the lowdown. The network has a motd currently that shows the policies of the network upon login. We'd suggest you read it. We will eventually be looking for IRC Operators to help manage the day to day of the network that are active members of the LGBT community. The rules are simple and forward. Users of the network will not engage in any sort of bashing whatsoever. This comes down to political views, hate based comments, or other disruptive behavior on the network. You will NOT be able to see a users IP address or hostname on the network as to protect users from attacks and harassment. You will be able to register nicknames on the network. You will be able to register channels on the network. Abuse of the network services will earn people a ban from the usage of service and/or the network depending on the severity of the abuse. There will be system channels and some channels should they be needed to be controlled by the network due to abuse or misconduct can and will be taken over by services as to prevent further misconduct by users on the network. We want this community to include men and women in the LGBT community. There will be zero tolerance for anyone being abusive towards one another regardless of what excuses are given for the conduct. A simple email to the staff email will get results provided there is a legitimate reason to follow up. Users can and should provide logging of incidents from their IRC client. I'd suggest anyone connecting to the network log their activities if they feel the need to be helpful in keeping the network a decent place for everyone to enjoy as the users will be as important as IRC Operators in maintaining a great community for everyone to enjoy. So that said, invite your friends, join the network, register you channel(s), register your nickname, and help start building a totally free chat community without all the hassles of other gay websites. No ads flashing in your face, just plain old text based chat for now while we work on adding webcam and other services to the network as the need and want from the community grows and as we build supporting members to help us get the funding we need to provide these services to everyone .
