First Nations Community HealthSource is committed to providing a culturally competent, comprehensive health service delivery system integrating traditional values to enhance the physical, spiritual, emotional and mental well being of American Indian/Alaska Native families and other underserved populations residing in Albuquerque and surrounding areas. First Nations Community HealthSource (FNCH) is a private, nonprofit organization created in 1972 as the Albuquerque Urban Indian Health Clinic. FNCH is a Federally Qualified Health Center and New Mexico's Urban Indian Health program. First Nations Community HealthSource is a Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA) deemed health center and is recognized as a Level 2 Patient Centered Medical Home Accredited Health Center by the National Center on Quality Assurance (NCQA). The name was changed in 1995 to reflect the organization’s continuing commitment to serving ALL underserved populations. Our mission is to help integrate into our services traditional values which enhance the physical, spiritual, emotional and mental well-being of Native American families and other underserved including homeless populations residing in Albuquerque and surrounding areas. First Nations Community HealthSource uses a holistic approach that is integrated and treats the whole person. Our medical, dental and behavioral health services are open from 8a-9p, Monday through Friday and 9a-1p Saturday. The clinic is a UNM Cares site and accepts all major health insurances. Walk-ins and appointments are available. First Nations Community HealthSource has a committed and involved Board of Directors that consists of interested community members, professionals and students.
