What is your watchword or motto that you will be remembered by for years to come? What Legacy will you leave to those who follow?I ask you all the same question... What legacy will you leave to the missionaries who follow you?We have been reluctant to put forth such a statement for fear that it will divert us from the focus on our core purpose here as missionaries..... That of Inviting others to come unto Christ and Helping them receive the restored gospel through Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and in His Atonement.....etc etc.After much thought and some good counsel with Elder and Sister Evans while they were here, we felt inspired to present our idea to the MLC on Friday to see what our leaders in the mission thought about it.The overwhelming response was .LET'S DO IT!Not only should we do it, but we should begin this New Year of 2016 by working hard to move the culture of our mission to a whole new level. This is what we will do starting right here right now.!!Mosiah speaks very plainly about what our mission should be as mortals here on this planet.25 And the Lord said unto me: Marvel not that all mankind, yea, men and women, all nations, kindreds, tongues and people, must be born again; yea, born of God,changed from their carnal and fallen state, to a state of righteousness, being redeemed of God, becoming his sons and daughters;26 And thus they become new creatures; and unless they do this, they can in nowise inherit the kingdom of God.36 And thus they were instruments in the hands of God in bringing many to the knowledge of the truth, yea, to the knowledge of their Redeemer. Mosiah 27:25-26,36Unless we BECOME new creatures... changed from our Carnal state into a state of righteousness we will not accomplish the significant and essential work that we have come here to do.This life is all about change. (REPENTANCE) It is about progression and practicing to be like our Heavenly Father.This is His laboratory where He allows us to thrive in an incubation chamber called life.He has not left us alone however.. He has given us His SON.... and through the Messiah and Redeemer of the world we can feel the enabling power of the Atonement.
