Ten Minutes by boat from Orange Beach Marina, you can leave Perdido Pass into some of the world's best sport fishing. There's an abundance of snapper, ling, mackerel, wahoo, grouper, and dolphin close inshore while a southerly course into deep water soon puts you in one of the hottest bill fishing areas in the country. When you're not sportfishing or boating, there are eight premier golf courses within minutes and four historic forts dating back to the Civil War era. The entire family can also enjoy swimming, snorkeling and water-skiing in nearby creeks, coves and lagoons. And if that's not enough...
To the east and just 20 minutes away by car you will discover the cradle of naval aviation at the Pensacola Naval Air Station, home of the Blue Angels, the Navy's precision flying team, and the worlds second largest naval air museum complete with I-max theater and over 140 aircraft. This attraction is the second largest public attraction in the state of Florida. Another 10 minutes eastward will put you in the middle of downtown Pensacola, a waterfront city that has been under 5 different flags and is replete with history, good restaurants and shops.
Twelve miles to the north-west of Orange Beach is the Tanger Outlet Center, one of the south's largest factory outlet centers with over 120 well-known stores. Another 15 minutes and you'll be on the eastern shore of Mobile Bay and in Fairhope, a colorful and charming little town with flowered and tree lined streets filled with interesting little shops - antiques, art, crafts.
