Home About Us Meet the Staff Special Education Advocacy Group Transitions Support Group Advocacy Training Advocate Locator Events Resources Scholarships About the P4k Online Community P4k Online Community (registration required) Welcome! PAUSE4kids was formed in September 1999, by Keri Bowers, a parent of an autistic son. Eight parents came to P4k's first meeting. Today, P4k serves hundreds of families in the Ventura County area. Our goal is to "fill the gaps" by helping to provide whatever is needed for our special needs children that is not now readily available. Please read more about us here. PAUSE4kids' 2012 Art Contest PAUSE4kids is looking for submissions for their 2012 calendar and note cards. Please scan and submit your child's artwork along with their name, age and diagnosis, and emailing it to us here. Submissions can be specific to an occasion or time of year or can be of a subject matter of the artist's choosing. Once submissions have been approved, they will be displayed in the PAUSE4kids forum and voted upon. Next Special Education Advocacy Group Meeting The next Special Ed Advocacy Support Group is on October 5th. See the Special Education Support Group page for details. Next Transitions Group Meeting The next meeting is scheduled for September 27, and will feature Molly Kennedy, United Cerebral Palsy's Person of the Year 2007, as guest and speaker. Details on the Transitions Group page. Items needed for Silent Auctions We have a couple of events in the next year where we will be holding silent auctions. We need your support-does your business have something, a product or service, that you could donate? Would you be able to purchase an item for us to auction? These events are an important part of our fundraising efforts, which in turn enable PAUSE4kids to offer the classes, support groups, and scholarships that we are known for.
