Welcome
The Soci­ety for Col­lege Sci­ence Teach­ers is the only inter­dis­ci­pli­nary affil­i­ate of NSTA that is ded­icated solely to the study and advance­ment of col­lege sci­ence teaching. We are a ded­i­cated com­mu­nity of col­lege and uni­ver­sity teach­ing schol­ars work­ing to enhance sci­ence edu­ca­tion through devel­op­ment and test­ing of best class­room teach­ing practices.
SCST is ded­i­cated to the improve­ment in the teach­ing of col­lege sci­ence courses via inter­dis­ci­pli­nary inter­ac­tions among teach­ers of col­lege sci­ence, the pro­vi­sion of a profession-wide iden­tity for teach­ers of col­lege sci­ence, the pro­mo­tion of a soci­etal and cul­tural aware­ness of the sig­nif­i­cance of sci­ence to the mod­ern world, the spon­sor­ship of appro­pri­ate projects such as local and regional con­fer­ences and work­shops, and the pro­mo­tion of col­lec­tive self-interests.
