Mathews, Ransom - Born: Feb. 25, 1839 in Potsdam, NY; Son of David Mathews and Laura Perry Enlisted from Potsdam in 16th NY Inf Co F as Pvt on Nov 1, 1861; Mustered out June 3, 1863 at Albany, NY. He re-enlisted into the 193rd NY Inf. in March, 1865 and rose to 1st Lt. He mustered out Jan. 18, 1866 at Harper's Ferry, WV. He also served in the 4th and 60th MA Inf. He lived in Westfield, Iowa in 1870 and 1880. He moved to Fitzgerald, GA by 1906 and died there May 22, 1918. He is buried in Evergreen Cemetery in Fitzgerald, GA (TC, AG, 1850, 1865, 1870, 1880, 1910, cemetery, data) Jenness, Edward E. - Born: 1842 in St. Lawrence Co.; Son of William Jenness and Rebecca ______ Enlisted from Lisbon in 142nd NY Inf Co G as Pvt on Sep 3, 1862; Mustered out May 26, 1865 at a hospital in Wilmington, NC. He died in 1899 and is buried in Morley Cemetery in the Town of Canton (TC, AG, 1850, 1860, 1865
