Greetings from St. John's!
As we approach the Great Celebration of the Nativity of the Lord (Christmas), we welcome all to the parish for our celebrations. 
Christmas Eve has Seven Mass opportunities:
Church  -  4:00PM (Children's Choir and Family Mass), 6:00PM, 9:00PM, and Midnight (Choir Program                         begins at 11:00PM);
Parish Hall at 4:00PM with our Contemporary Music Group; 9:00PM Spanish Mass
Hood College at 4:00PM and 6:00PM with piano and Cantor (and parking). 
Christmas Day
English Mass at 7:30AM, 9:00AM and 11:00AM and a Spanish Mass at 1:00PM all in the church. There is no 11:00AM Hall Mass or 1:00PM English Mass on Christmas Day. 
All are welcome!

Guadalupe.  Procession
at 6:30 PM, Mass at 7:00, followed by celebratory
Fiesta—all are welcome!
Tuesday,
December 13th, Communal Penance Service
in our church, 7:30 PM.
ANNUAL CANDLELIGHT TOUR - Monday, December 26th, 4:00-9:00 PM, Annual Candlelight Tour of the Historic Houses of Worship.  St John’s will host a musical program and also provide guided tours.  We will offer hospitality in the Community Center Hall, and will accept donations of home-baked cookies.  These may be delivered to the Atrium on December 24th, 25th, or 26th.  Please come out for a delightful evening and visit all the sites in historic downtown Frederick. 
EPIPHANY PARTY - Saturday, January 7th  - 3:00 – 4:30 PM
In the Community Center Hall. Planetarium Show – “Star of Bethlehem”
Stations of Gold, Frankincense & Myrrh. $5 per person (cap of $20 per family)  OR  $2 per person with a donation to Birthright (pkg of diapers, formula, or baby clothes)

SCRIP is a new St. John’s Parish fundraiser. The best part about SCRIP is that it costs you nothing to participate! Your purchase gift cards from St. John’s using the order form for the face value of the gift card. St. John’s gets a percentage of the sales. You can use scrip to purchase everyday expenses like food, clothing, and other essentials, and with every purchase, you earn revenue for our parish to be used for adult and youth spiritual growth such as leadership conferences and retreats as well as funding facility repairs to keep our aging building open and safe.
