Our Mission
The mission of Austin Zoo & Animal Sanctuary is to assist animals in need through rescue, rehabilitation and education. At our rescue and sanctuary zoo, children and adults alike can appreciate our Hill Country setting and enjoy a close-up experience with our rescued animals. Austin Zoo & Animal Sanctuary is a private, non-profit zoo, with over 350 animals across a hundred different species. Austin Zoo & Animal Sanctuary is a forever home for our rescued animals. Meet the New Black Bears
We are excited to announce that we will be the forever home for three orphaned Black Bear cubs! Thanks to the amazing people who participated in the cubs' rescue, the extraordinary team at Oregon Zoo and our staff, this story has a happy ending. Come meet Korben, Tilly and Ruby in their new habitat from 10am to 1pm each day!

Go Fund Me Burglary Recovery Fund
On the night of July 3-4, a burglary resulted in excess of $25,000 dollars in losses to the Zoo. Burglars caused extensive damage to Zoo facilities and installations, and made off with office electronics, cash, and equipment used to monitor and care for its animals. Please help the zoo recover from this tragic event by making a donation today and sharing this site with your friends and colleagues.
