Last July 11, 2019, BK3’s Secretary General Pet A. Climaco attended the Ibon’s Midyear Birdtalk at UP College of Engineering Theater (Melchor Hall). The said activity discusses the current national issues; such as social, civic, democratic rights, economics, and politics. This is also timed to contribute to critical discourse and  after the 2019 midterm elections and in the run-up to Pres. Rodrigo Duterte’s fourth State of the Nation Address (SONA) at the opening of the 18th Congress. Mr. Sonny Africa (Executive Director – Ibon Foundation) and Ms. Rose Guzman (Executive Editor) were the speakers. It was also attended by various organizations from the school (academe and students), religious, civil society and consumer groups.

Malinaw ang benepisyo sa kapaligiran ng paggamit ng RE. Kailangan natin paunlarin pa ang teknolohiya at tangkilikin ito. Kailangan natin ng mas maraming kompetisyon sa kuryente na kokontra sa mala-monopolyang pagpresyo sa kuryente at maging sapat ang suplay para sa lahat ng mga konsyumer.
