This is a group of around 20 islands; some are large and mountainous with primary rainforest and fringed by coral reefs; some are tiny rocky islets made of diorite, which is similar to granite but with less quartz. In high season daily ferries connect Koh Lipe to several destinations in Southern Thailand, and to Langkawi Island in malaysia. In low season Koh Lipe can only be reached from Pak Barra.
