Home Blog Archive Fanart Guest Strips Patreon Ko-fi An Update by Carl on August 5, 2019 Chapter: Comics Hey all, as stated above, 2019 has been a rough year. But I’m not giving up on anything and we will get more comics at some point. Not exactly sure when. It’s always a big debate between how much of what I’m going through I should reveal about what’s going on. Part of it is trying to keep the site positive, not come off as complaining or offering up excuses, and just some measure of privacy. The other side tho is how important talking about mental health is, making sure folks understand why there haven’t been updates, and the fact you deserve an explanation. Middle ground, the “vaguebooking” answer – I’ve been having a rough year handling my depression since the start of the year. It’s compounded by financial issues not helped by having a shitty car. Or having an old laptop… That brings us to a more relevant to the comic directly issue: While trying to do stuff to extend the life of the laptop, I ended up upgrading the OS… which means some of my old editing software no longer works. Not fully. Which means new software I can’t afford or haven’t used, so I’m kinda relearning how to make comics and trying to figure out what I need to do. So that’s a thing that’s taking some time. (You can kind of see it in this post. I am still also working on scripts and other dumb ideas. So just because shit is keeping me from making comics, it doesn’t mean I’m not thinking and trying to work on them in some way constantly. Sadly, I have no ETA for when the comic returns. I’m going to give it some deep consideration as to how it will return while we’re at it. Maybe I’ll update in batches or something. I’m looking at options. Thanks for reading, I’m sorry I’ve been silent for so long. I’ll try to pipe up more often with news, good or bad, and hopefully more comics soon.
