Since 1972, the HNBA has acted as a force for positive change within the legal profession by creating opportunities for Hispanic lawyers and by helping generations of lawyers to succeed. The HNBA has also effectively advocated on issues of importance to the national Hispanic community. MESSAGE FROM THE HNBA PRESIDENT Welcome to the Hispanic National Bar Association, one of the largest professional organizations in the United States. As the national voice of the Hispanic legal community, the HNBA seeks to increase professional opportunities for Hispanics in the legal profession and to address issues of concern to the national Hispanic community. If you are already a member of our HNBA family, we wish to express our deepest gratitude for your invaluable support. Without your commitment, the pursuit of our noble and vital mission would not be possible. Because of you the HNBA has helped, and will continue to help, generations of law students and law professionals succeed. If you are new to the HNBA, it is my pleasure to welcome you. In the pages that follow you will find information about our organization and our national efforts: a combination of advocacy, programs, networking events, and educational pipeline initiatives. Of course, our national efforts continue because of the generosity and support of our partners. For more than forty years, we have added our voices to the voices of our partners, which include Fortune 500 corporations, branches of the U.S. military, government agencies, law firms of all of sizes, including the AM LAW 200, educational institutions, foundations, and vendors. As the HNBA's National President, I am proud to be part of this wonderful family; this vibrant Association that works to provide growth and opportunities for Latino legal professionals and for the rapidly growing Latino community.
