Welcome to HoosierCabinet Dot ComWe sell original Hoosier Cabinet canisters and spicejars that were included with all Hoosier style cabinets when theywerenew. We also sell original cabinets and parts when they areavailable along with lots of other items that would have been found in a"Depression Era" kitchen. Hoosier is now used as a generic term todescribe this style of kitchen cabinet. Although Hoosier was the largestmanufacturer, there were many companies thatmanufactured this style of cabinet beginning around the turn of the century andlasting through the depression. Some of the other companies were Sellers, Napanee, McDougall, Kitchen Maid, Wilsonand Boone. We DO NOT stock anyreproduction glass. An Original set of Hoosier Glassware would haveconsisted of Coffee and Tea canisters, a Salt Box, and from four to eight spicejars. Some manufacturers also included a Cookie/Cracker jar and sometimes ahanging Sugar Jar. The canisters wereprimarily manufactured by the Sneath Glass Co. of Hartford City, Indiana. There were fivemajor styles of canisters made by Sneath for  Hoosier cabinets,Colonial, Mission, Zipper (originally called Quaker), Triple Skip and Napanee.  With most canisterstyles there are early (generally pre 1920 and with a more squared off shape)and later versions. We deal for the most part in original glassware made by Sneath, but alsoin depression kitchen glassware made by Owens-Illinois, Hocking, HazelAtlas and others which can be found in the "OtherCanister Styles" section. You will find rangeshakers, salt and pepper shakers, beaters, measuring cups and jars, reamers, and  many other items that would have been used in an early Twentiethcentury kitchen in the "Depression Kitchen Glassware & Utensils" section.Ordering HoosierGlasswareAlthough some of the glassware has become quite scarceand difficult to locate, we try to keep as much in stock as possible. Thereare many variables that effect the price of old glass. With most of the Hoosier glassware,since we may have many of the same item,  weprovide you with a price range from a low (well used) price to a high (almost asit left the factory) price.
