SEO – New Update On The Horizon!
I've just heard a new update is coming from Google. This could just be hype or even rumour as I am not entirely sure where the source of this information is.

How SEO Has Changed In Recent Years…
I was speaking with a friend over the weekend on the subject of SEO (search engine optimisation) and how it changes so much in such a short period of time. We are both involved with SEO however I work for a company whereas my friend Mark runs his own SEO business.
It's a business he's recently re-launched as he has spent the past few years in affiliate marketing rather than managing clients. Perhaps a good move but now he wants to get back into working with clients to develop another side of his business. The main side of Mark's business is affiliate marketing where he reviews products, in fact you can see his latest a InboxBlueprint review over at his thread. It's a new product that's recently launched.
Anyway, we both agreed on how much the SEO landscape had changed and how spam tactics that were effective and used by many just 1-2 years ago today do not work. Mark was actually talking about how he noticed a company ranking using 100% blog comments and he could actually replicate the entire profile and get the same rankings for himself. This was back in 2011 when tactics like this were actually working effectively.
Something like that today just wouldn't work! Especially when dealing with purely blog comments. Another thing is that seo in general has actually gotten very popular and is an expanding market. In fact seo London is one of the most searched seo terms in the world with many companies looking to cash in on the growth of search and internet sales / traffic.
In 2012 Google changed everything with their penguin update. And then again in April of 2013 when they refreshed it, and once more just a month ago. People have literally had their businesses wiped out over night and seo's were left scratching their heads. Now the dust has settled I personally believe that penguin is a good move!
Looking into the future...
I can only see Google coming down harder on spam. There will always be black hat tactics that work because no matter what loophole you fix there will always be another one that become apparent. That is just the way the world works and there are loopholes in everything whether it be a ranking algorithmn, or paying tax.
