With the assistance of our Local Organizing Committee and International Advisory Board, we plan an outstanding scientific and clinical meeting for all those interested in preeclampsia / hypertension and the care of affected women. We particularly encourage young investigators to present their work. The future for preeclampsia brings new understanding of the mechanisms of the disease which will soon translate to exciting new methods of surveillance and therapies. Further, as it becomes clear that women who had preeclampsia have a higher risk of adverse cardiovascular outcomes. Additional research and sharing of ideas in this new area is important to understand and plan for long term management.Come to New Orleans in 2014. We plan a stimulating scientific meeting in a city of great charm and European influence.
