They have won 5 world cups, have won more of the Ashes tournament than England, and have produced some of the finest cricketers of our time. The greatest batsman of all time, Sir Don Bradman batted for Australia. Besides Bradman, the Australian team has also given us legendary players such as Shane Warne, Glenn McGrath, Steve Waugh, etc. who helped usher Australia into its current cricket stardom. West Indies West Indies might be slipping and losing its touch with ODI and Twenty20 matches, but they have consistently been one of the finest test teams of all time. They dominated the cricket scene in the ‘70s and ‘80s, being the first team to win the World Cup (a feat they managed again in ’79). They were the finalists in the ’83 and the ’96 world cups as well. Some of the greatest cricketers of all time, including Sir Viv Richards, Brian Lara, Clive Lloyd, and Sir Garfield Sobers were also from the West Indies team.
