Who We Are
For more than 100 years, Mental Health America of Illinois (MHAI) has been the leading non-profit, non-governmental, statewide organization in Illinois concerned with the entire spectrum of mental and emotional disorders.
MHAI is dedicated to promoting mental health, working for the prevention of mental illness and improving care and treatment for persons suffering from mental and emotional disorders. MHAI is an affiliate of the national nonprofit, Mental Health America.

The Mental Health Summit
MHAI co-founded and currently Chairs the Mental Health Summit (MHS), an advocacy coalition dedicated to improving the mental health system of care in Illinois.

NIMH Outreach
The NIMH Outreach Partnership program works to increase the public’s access to science-based mental health information through partnerships with national and state nonprofit organizations.
