From an early age, I’ve had a camera in my hand. I’ve always loved photography, but never in a million years thought it would become my life’s passion. It came with the sound of a shutter, and a moment captured. Just like that, I knew photography needed to have a greater portion of my life again.
An opportunity to study at The Miami International University of Art & Design was presented to me, and I couldn’t pass up. At first, I leaned towards advertising. I found that I had an affection for commercial art, and social media. Then I had my first photography class. My professor hinted that I should consider joining the “dark side”, and after praying about it, I felt that it was the right way to go. I knew that it would be a road most do not want to travel on, but I couldn’t let that deter me from pursuing my dreams.
Photographing people, and capturing them in special moments, is more than a hobby. It’s a skill. It’s a developed technique combined with an understanding of light, movement, and more importantly, people. My experience in life has taught me to take my time getting to know people. Life is too short to meet the entire world, and add them all on to your Facebook. By meeting people, you can learn new things, and hear stories or ideas, you could never imagine. My goal with my photography, is to be able to not miss a moment, and to share every special one that i can.
