If you like any of it, I’d be more than happy to do something similar for you (provided, that is, you don’t manufacture arms). First up, here’s a little film I did for those Orange Film Board people. Next, Samaritans wanted to encourage everyone in the country to look out for each other, emotionally speaking. Here are some press ads designed to nudge people in the right direction. I like the copy, but then I suppose I would. Just click on the images. Orange had twenty pairs of Glastonbury tickets to shift. But they wanted to do it in a cool, funny, get-people-talking-about-it way. The answer? Equip a bull with GPS, commandeer a satellite, and get people to guess which quadrant of his field he’ll be in, come three o’clock. Obviously. ‘Homeless’ doesn’t mean living on the streets. It just means you don’t have anywhere to call home, a distinction the Government doesn’t always make when publishing homelessness statistics. Busted. Samaritans again, this time a radio ad calling for a bit of cash. Now then, awards. I’ve won a few, though many of them are, frankly, about as prestigious as a 15 metre swimming badge. Here’s a short list of some of the better shiny things on my virtual mantelpiece: Cannes Cyber Lion – Silver / One Show Interactive – Gold / The Clio Awards – Bronze / Art Directors Club of New York – Silver / Creative Review Annual – Best in Book / D&AD Awards – Nomination Moving on. Bacardi wanted people to get together more. And where better to tell people about it than on the Facebook? Here’s part of a campaign I wrote, using two American comedians (the campaign broke in the States, hence their American-ness). I also write comedy. For the telly. Some of the shows I’ve written for have won BAFTAs and everything, like the Armstrong and Miller Show, and Fonejacker. Here’s something I’ve done, by way of light entertainment. I write a lot of online content, mostly scripted. Here’s something I wrote to go with the Orange Film Board piece. Those boys are bloody good sports. Call me sick, but I quite enjoy writing scripts for product demonstrations. Perhaps it’s the challenge. (The challenge of elegantly fitting a flash player thingy within this WordPress site has, however, entirely eluded me.) Lynx (or Axe, depending on where you are or how global you’re feeling) brought out a fragrance for men and women, called Anarchy. The Lynx Effect working on both sexes at once? Let the chaos ensue. I mean anarchy. Finally, I’ve done branding, from shampoo (Percy & Reed) to apps (Zeebox), with charities and telecoms and chocolate and fast food and other things I’ve forgotten about in between.
