Netflix Raised Price by $1 Report

Last month, Netflix has noted that it will increase its subscription fee by $1 to $2 dollars. And according to money.cnn.com’s report, the company had indeed raised its price by a dollar.
No Price Increase for Existing Subscribers
Existing subscribers need not worry about the price increase implemented by Netflix since existing clients are exempted from the raise. This means that existing subscribers will still be paying $7.99 a month for two years instead of $8.99 a month.
New Shows and Movies
Netflix has stated that the company needs to implement a price increase to be able to add new shows and movies. Hence, a price hike, which costs $1 a month, has been implemented.

The company has warned its existing subscribers and target clients last month that there will be a price increase this month. Hence, subscribers should not be too surprised for the price increase.
The company also pledged that existing clients, which is an astounding 40 million subscribers, will not receive a price increase in two years. This made the price hike not too taxing on existing clients.
There seems to be no big fuss about the price increase of Netflix since the company was able to add quality movies and are able to provide entertainment to everyone.
