RECIN allows providers to track immunizations across the lifespan of their patients.RECIN provides an accurate, up-to-date record of all vaccinations a patient has received. This detailed record enables health care providers to determine when immunizations are due and take the steps necessary to protect both adults and children from vaccine-preventable diseases.Access to this comprehensive immunization registry enables providers to:protect their patients from over and under-immunizationbe automatically warned against any contraindications or patient allergiescreate comprehensive intervention campaignsFirst developed in 1995 through the collaborative efforts of public and private immunization providers in central Wisconsin, RECIN has been cited as a model immunization registry by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and has received the first-ever Protect Award on behalf of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Immunization Program of the CDC.2002 Protect Award presented to RECIN by Centers for Disease Control and American Academy of Pediatrics.
