Since its founding in 1909, members have been harnessing their collective powers to make enduring contributions to the town of Rehoboth Beach, as well as the surrounding Cape Henlopen District communities. The VIA is a member of the Delaware State Federation of Women’s Clubs (DSFWC) and the General Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC). Now celebrating its 100th year, membership has grown to over 200. The Club’s history speaks of its dedication to promoting the interests of and improvements to the Rehoboth Beach community. The VIA originated the Rehoboth Art League and the Rehoboth Library. The Club’s annual fundraising efforts support scholarships and more than twenty-five worthy causes. The milestone 100th anniversary is all about increasing public awareness of the VIA, what they do, and how important women can be in society once they get together and work toward a common goal. Greater community awareness and support for the work of VIA will allow expansion of their charitable mission.
