(See News and update pages for dates and times) NEW JOIN Master Membership fill-in form (for printing) NEW SPAA Range Rules Who We Are The SPAA is a jointly owned/operated pistol/rifle/archery range. It is owned and operated by the SPAA and the Seattle Police Department (SPD). SPD utilizes the facility to train and test police officers in proper firearms techniques. The SPAA operates the facility as a members only firearms facility in conjunction with a retail outlet selling firearms, ammunition and associated merchandise. Membership is restricted to those applicants that pass a criminal history background check and that maintain a clear record. Associate members are those members between the age of 21 and 60 years of age; Senior members are those 60 years of age and over; Auxiliary members are police officers from other jurisdictions other than SPD and emergency first responders (including Fire and Paramedics); Life members are those members who have paid dues for 25 years. More detailed Info Our Mission The mission of the Seattle Police Athletic Association, Inc. (SPAA) is to develop and maintain a first class shooting facility that serves the local law enforcement community and our citizen members. To that end we will construct, maintain and modernize our facilities while maintaining fiscal stability. The SPAA will continue to support SPD Officer\members and associate members in athletic and shooting events to the best of our ability. More Detailed Info Company Profile The SPAA is governed by an elected Board of Directors consisting of active Seattle Police Officers and two appointed positions (one Retired SPD and one Civilian). The executive Board consists of the President, Vice President, and Treasurer. There are Nine Director's positions. The Board Meets at least once a month. In addition, the SPAA employs an Office Manager, Retail Store Manager and Retail Store Employees. Hours of Operation Wednesday thru Sunday 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Closed to the Public Monday and Tuesday. (Law Enforcement Training may be conducted on Monday and Tuesday). Training hours of operation involving discharge of weapons will commence no earlier than 8:00 AM and will cease no later than 9:00 PM. Periodic range closures, Including Holiday closures, will be posted in the Range Store and the reader board outside the front entrance to the Range Store.
