This will undoubtedly be the case for other people too, and sometimes you will be remembered only by your name and your business card. This is why it is so important to know exactly what you are doing when you order business cards. The design that you use on your business cards can also be extended and used to create the designs you will need when printing letterheads or with envelope printing.  The last thing that you want to do when making business cards is to end up with trash as your final product. Without proper planning and attention to detail and design, however, that is exactly what you might end up with. A good business card toes the line between an attractive design and professional simplicity. In order to be memorable, your business card must be eye-catching. A design that is too colorful or cluttered, however, will make your business card look tacky.
Another thing to consider is whether or not to add your picture to your business card. This is very much dependent on the line of business that you are in. Property and insurance agents, for example, almost always add their picture to their business cards. This is because studies have shown that people tend to judge according to appearance when it comes to purchasing insurance and property. In other lines of business, however, it is relatively rare to see pictures on business cards. It is also quite difficult to integrate pictures into an overall attractive business card design.  When it comes to the design of your business card, the size of the print that you use plays a major role in determining whether the people you meet keep your business card or simply throw it in the trash. It can be tempting to squeeze as much information as possible about yourself and your company onto your business card. Imagine for a moment that you are a stranger receiving your business card, however, and if you cannot absorb all the information that is on the front of your business card in a few seconds, then it�s back to the drawing board. If you must include more information, you should do so on the reverse side of your business card.
